Outcomes and FAQ
KCCAT encourages consumers of mental health care to be informed about their treatment options and what to expect as a result of receiving treatment. With that in mind, we are happy to provide information about what past patients at KCCAT have experienced to help you feel empowered in making decisions about treatment.
Treatment Outcomes for Patients Who Complete Care
The data below reflect outcomes for patients who completed treatment and provided post-treatment data, allowing us to evaluate change over time. Completion rates may vary, and results may not reflect the experiences of all patients who begin treatment.
At KCCAT, we track outcomes using standardized, research-supported measures. Across multiple tools, results indicate that many patients who complete treatment demonstrate measurable and clinically meaningful improvements in symptoms and daily functioning.
How We Measure Outcomes
To support accurate and clinically meaningful interpretation:
- We use empirically-validated assessment measures
- Outcomes are based on pre- to post-treatment comparisons within the same individuals
- Unless noted otherwise, analyses are restricted to patients with clinically meaningful symptom levels at intake
- Results include only patients who completed treatment and post-treatment assessment
- Clinically significant change is defined as ≥35% change
Data are drawn from patients receiving services at KCCAT from 2014–2025 and include 240 adults and 130 children/parents with pre- and post-treatment data. These data are derived from routine clinical care and have not been analyzed as part of a controlled research study. Data last updated April 19, 2026.
