Postdoctoral Fellowship
Applications Open for 2027-2029 Cycle in November 2026
Fellowship Description
Primary activities will include delivering evidenced-based psychological services, assisting with the supervision of doctoral student practicum trainees, and helping to develop, deliver, and promote center programming reflecting KCCAT’s strong treatment, research, and educational mission. A detailed breakdown of fellowship activities can be requested by email.
KCCAT employs a developmental approach to training, and postdoctoral fellows can expect to have their training experience tailored to their specific needs. Given our team-based approach, fellows begin their fellowship with shadowing, co-therapy, and independent clinical work matching their training background and comfort with anxiety specialty care. Fellows receive at minimum one hour of supervision from a licensed psychologist per week and three hours weekly of team-wide case discussions. Additionally, fellows are encouraged to attend monthly practicum didactics or co-lead/lead these meetings as applicable to experience and interest level. Fellows are supported in joining ongoing or initiating their own research projects. Local organizations and educational institutions frequently seek out our team to present on various topics, and fellows are highly encouraged to participate when available.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be creative, organized, self-disciplined, work well within a team approach, and appreciate and be dedicated to evidence-based treatment. Preference will be given to individuals who have experience in utilizing exposure-based, behavioral (e.g., contingency management, habit reversal training), and cognitive/acceptance approaches for OCD, anxiety, mood, and related conditions; however, promising applicants who are looking to receive training in this area will also be considered.
