Anxiety Disorders Research Database Study and Other Projects
While the efficacy of CBT is well validated, its specific components are not yet well understood. An important
aspect of KCCAT is that patients of the clinic and members of the community have the opportunity to consent for participation in ongoing
research, administered through our affiliate relationship with the University of Kansas Medical Center. While
participating in research is a valuable contribution to furthering knowledge about, and efforts to treat and prevent, anxiety problems, please note that PARTICIPATION IS ALWAYS VOLUNTARY.
If for any reason a patient does not wish to have their information used for research purposes (or later wishes to withdraw the use of their information for research) they may notify the clinic director in writing at any time. A patient's current or future clinical care is not dependent on research participation in any way. Please check with our center for more information about our research program and any pending studies.
